Sorry for the long winded text here but to save all of us any unnecessary problems please do read this thoroughly.

These pages contain pictures of a variety of kites and kite flying materials recently donated to the NORTHERN KITE GROUP by Lesley Dodds and were originally stock from the Flying Empress Kites Company.

Please note: These items are now the property of the NKG and Flying Empress Kites are no longer responsible for any post sale warranty or guarantee.

These items are mostly being sold for Charity at a fixed price, with the price being determined by a look at current retail prices with a suitable deduction to ensure that the stock actually attracts offers. It is not my intention to reduce prices for unsold stock or to sell these items on at a reduction through any other means. I reserve the right to dispose of any excess stock at the same fixed prices through the likes of Ebay.

Items subject to offers: These items are available on a ‘Blind Auction’ basis. Please assess the value of the item to yourself and place a bid accordingly. Please don’t ask what other bids there are. I will close the offer process when I consider the bid to be high enough.

I now intend to post items out but would prefer to deliver items only with pre-cleared funds at future festivals and events throughout the coming year. I will not be bringing any items with me on spec or for approval. Postage will be 2nd Class Signed For and along with packing materials should be around £4.85 per large jiffy bag. Extra large items at cost.

I will keep a register of all orders and transactions and reservation will be on a first come, first served basis. I will only be responding to email orders placed through this site and will not answer questions or take orders over the phone.

Payment will be by cleared cheque, Paypal Gift Payment or by direct Bank Transfer. An initial deposit will be required to hold items for you. Final payment must be made two full weeks prior to an arranged meeting at an NKG festival or fly-in. Deposits will only be refunded upon cancellation as and when another buyer takes up the item. Payment particulars can be obtained through the Chairman’s email contact page at the foot of this page along with your confirmed order. Please ask questions about the items but discounts are as shown.

The proceeds of this sale will at the first instance be paid as a charitable contribution to  Cancer Research UK with some smaller items not seen on these pages possibly being donated for sale at the Royal National Lifeboat Institution Open Day on August Bank Holiday.

The sale particulars will be presented to the NKG Treasurer in the same way that previous charitable auctions have been and will be available for scrutiny at the next and successive AGMs.
